Lauren & Evan — Saxapahaw, NC

How about that beautiful bold red? It's not often we get to play with red for a wedding, but Lauren and Evan's day was the perfect opportunity. We feel so lucky to have met and worked with Lauren and her family, not only because she wasn't afraid to embrace color, but because her strength of character and sense of self truly personified the striking aesthetic she embraced. Haw River Ballroom set the perfect tone for the couple's casual elegance and their goal to plan a really fun, tight-knit, family-style party with great music and food. The floral backdrop we created for the ceremony was the biggest project of our setup, and we were really excited about how it turned out -- how the bold reds and deep purples played with the red stage curtain. And while that backdrop on the stage and the large wreath hanging in the mezzanine were amazing focal points, we loved the sentimental details Lauren dreamed up, like the floral bursts growing out of the drawers of a family heirloom sewing table. Oh, and the best cake topper ever - "Mutual Weirdness Forever."

Thank you L+E, cheers to a lifetime of mutual weirdness and all the good things!
